WHY I AM PROUDLY BANISHED FROM THE NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER LIST
FAKE NEWS NYT JORNO HAD AN EPIC DUEL WITH TRUMP ABOARD AIR FORCE ONE COMING BACK FROM CHINA LAST WEEK, DIAPER DIPLOMACY WEIGHED IN, NOW HERE’S MY TAKE ON WHY DAVID SANGER IS A FRAUDULENT POSER
To paraphrase Cool Hand Luke, sometimes nothing is a real cool hand.
No author in the entire world would ever publish unauthorized facts, as I am about to, of a New York Times journalist of the stature of David Sanger. The New York Times bestseller list is the promised land for authors in search of fame and fortune, and I am about to banish myself from it forever.
Yet here I am recognizing that stature, such as that of journalists like David Sanger, is meaningless without integrity, character, and courage. And so as a man who values those qualities in himself and others, I will publish the truth I know about corrupt politicos and cruddy journalists, even if it costs me a shot at the kind of recognition most author’s covet. Now you see why I self-publish and sell my books off my website .
Back to David Sanger. Here’s a screenshot of him smirking as Trump lambasts a BBC reporter and reminds him that he’s suing the BBC for publishing AI-generated statements from a video they produced of him as though he were speaking them.
Fake news at its worst (and stupidest).
Did David Sanger write about the national security dangers of a major international news organization using AI to misrepresent statements by the President of the United States? No, he did not.
Here’s what Sanger did say about his AF1 exchange with Trump on CNN, another news outlet I’m banished from, as shared on YahooNews:
“To the treason statement. Look, reporting is not treason… and we all know what this is about. It is an effort to intimidate news organizations into not doing the reporting. But reporting is the fundamental First Amendment responsibility that we have to go about… And that’s what we go to work every day to do, some days imperfectly. I would not argue for a moment that we get it all right, but the president seems to conflate news he doesn’t want to hear with treason. And that’s not the case.”
The Deep State/Media is as the Deep State/Media does.
I first met David Sanger 24 years ago in Condoleezza Rice’s West Wing office. Even back then he was a star at the NYT, revered in D.C. for his gravitas and reach, widely acknowledged as one of the smartest national security reporters in the country. (I’ll talk about how he interacted with her and Joe Biden behind the paywall).
That was then, this is now. These days I think of him as a cowardly fraud. Fake news at its worst. The Hunter Biden laptop story came out, and he ran from it like a cockroach scurrying for cover as the cupboard door opens. It was exactly the kind of news event a White House national security reporter with integrity and courage would want to cover in depth, at length. And yet he and the rest of the Deep State/Media cockroaches ran away from it, ignored it, and pretended it didn’t exist. They at great cost to our country and our world tried to bury the Hunter Biden laptop story to assist the stolen 2020 election.
Treason.
Marco Polo got a copy of the laptop and gave it to me. They published Report on the Biden Laptop . I wrote my two books about it. All my “banished from the NYT bestseller list books” are on my website, with The Big Burn being my best work of fiction. So far.
My freelance reporting is better than David Sanger and all those fakers in corporate “journalism”. That’s why he’s now a Diaper Diplomacy joke on X. By the way, Diaper Diplomacy is hilarious, sarcastic comedy, and worth our support way more than the failing NYT.
So, here’s a clip of the actual exchange between President Trump and David Sanger, published on YouTube by the White House, that prompted Diaper Diplomacy’s special brand of mockery. I like how in this clip, you can see Sanger physically wave off Trump’s accusation that he’s fake news. That’s extraordinary. It’s a visual demonstration of how he and all the other Deep State/Media journos rationalize their cowardice and lies—even when confronted. Note how Trump not only reminded him he was a professional, but then bickered on and on to make his point. Trump was right, he had the upper hand, and he knew it.
Only Trump would do that to David Sanger and get away with it.
Now, like I hinted, I worked around David Sanger at the White House since 2002, and I have a few background stories to share, which I will do behind the paywall. I’m also going to deconstruct his behavior during that press gaggle. And I’ll be fair about it. This may be one of my more interesting Substacks, definitely worth upping your subscription to paid.
Because even though nothing is a real cool hand, I could sure use about a hundred paid subscriptions. So go ahead, what are you waiting for? This is your chance to punch back at Deep State/Media by supporting the guy they want silenced.
