A major issue in the Burisma case is fake technology. Citing the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, Burisma claimed to be using a process in the US that it called "natural gas decarbonization" for gas that Ukrainian families used to stay warm in winter. There's just one minor glitch to the story.
Natural gas is mostly methane, with the molecular formula CH4. Remove the carbon from it and 3 things happen.
Thing 1: One CH4 molecule divides into two H2 molecules and some C.
Thing 2: Each H2 molecule has 1/3 the combustion energy as a CH4 molecule, so the pipes coming into every house need to be 3x bigger in diameter to keep the house warm.
Thing 3: All that carbon has to be put somewhere. It doesn't simply vanish by magic.
Burisma says it refrigerated all of that gas and put it on ships to the US, then hauled back the H2. But there aren't any ships rated to carry ultracold liquid H2.
So Burisma's explanation of why every family in Ukraine had their heat bill double, does not fit any of the known scientific facts. Nothing Burisma did actually reduced carbon emissions in Ukraine. The gas did what it had previously done (flow through pipes to furnaces, burn, and keep people warm in winter) only people got gouged twice as much money for it as before.
So where did all that money actually go?
Since the phony technology supposedly is American, a good guess is that Burisma paid hundreds of millions of dollars to some corporate shell in the US that pretends to "decarbonize" methane. Where did the funds go next?

So were a bunch of the leadership covering for him also getting a cut as well? The "Big Guy" was getting 10%, I always thought that was low. Were Rice, Weiss and /or Mackler getting a cut? I doubt the lower level people would get a cut as the people above them getting a cut were greedy, and while they should be smart enough to give the people actually covering this up a slice of the action, this is DC where greed reigns.
