NEW YORKER INTERVIEW REVEALS JOE’S COWARDLY PUTIN LIE

Joe’s Deviltry Is in the Details, right, New Yorker?

Laptop Special Report, Putin #2

2/3/2022

20 Mins

For years Joe Biden has boasted of mastering Vladimir Putin during a private meeting in Moscow in 2011, but buried deep in a fawning, July 2014 profile on the then-Vice President published in the New Yorker magazine is evidence Joe’s purported confrontation was nothing more than a cowardly fabrication.

Whatever possessed Joe Biden to lie to New Yorker writer Evan Osnos back in 2014 about his “you have no soul” remark to Vladimir Putin? It certainly can’t be self-confidence. Confident people don’t need to lie, especially in such a petty, self-aggrandizing way. But frightened people do, usually because they’re hiding something.

Given the evidence of Joe’s Burisma corruption I’m finding in Hunter’s laptop, Joe Biden was a man with a lot to hide in 2014. And Vladimir Putin has known about Joe and Hunter’s deceitful activities for a long time. Interesting that it’s the American president, not the Russian dictator, who is now caught in the lie.

And if you’d like to read more facts about Joe Biden’s impeachable corruption, please become a paid subscriber to my Substack Midnight in the Laptop of Good and Evil. There’s plenty there and a lot more to come.

The evidence of the lie Joe told about Putin that Osnos’s published in his article titled The Biden Agenda is in this sentence, which I quote, “Biden recalled visiting Putin at the Kremlin in 2011.”

As the saying goes, the devil is in the details, and the fact is Joe Biden NEVER visited Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin in 2011. I know this for certain because I was with Joe Biden in Moscow in 2011 when he visited Putin, but it wasn’t in the Kremlin.

Recall that at the time, Putin was the prime minister, having temporarily relinquished the Russian presidency to Dimitry Medvedev, so his office was not in the Kremlin. According to Joe, in numerous tellings, the recordings of which I’ve personally listened to, during that March 2011 trip to Moscow, Putin gave Joe an intimate tour of his office, which was then in the Russian White House, a large, drab building a couple of miles from the Kremlin.

Except that’s not what Joe told Osnos, whom I’m discovering is the the limousine liberal crowd’s number one useful idiot at the New Yorker, but I’ll have more on that in a later Substack. And it wasn’t that Osnos asked Joe about the Putin put-down and Joe stumbled in his answer. As I read the quote, Joe volunteered the information and blurted out the inaccuracy on his own.

Here’s a screenshot of the passage in Osnos’s article and a link to it. I love the irony in their ad at the bottom — https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2014/07/28/biden-agenda

So Joe was clearly spreading his own misinformation with Osnos in that interview which took place on Air Force Two. I know this because I was also on Air Force Two at the time and I listened to a recording of their interview. I recall I gave Shailagh Murray, Joe’s communications director, one of my digital recorders so she could record the interview with Osnos. I was then a federal employee in the White House Stenographers Office, assigned to Joe, so not a biased reporter — conservative or liberal — and not an Obama or George W. Bush loyalist, both of whom I have worked for. Just a support staffer who cared about getting it right.

My job was to record and transcribe any interaction Joe had with members of the press. In this case, Shailagh didn’t want me sitting in the cramped forward cabin where the interview occurred. But once it had concluded, she returned the recorder to me with the request I get her the transcript ASAP, which I did. So not only did I hear the Osnos-Biden interview, but understand — and this is important — there’s a transcript! And that refutes any suggestion that Osnos simply got the quote wrong. As I like to say, the truth is in the transcript. And that verbatim transcript of that interview is just a FOIA request away.

And by the way, what I just described is referred to by law enforcement as chain of custody. The transfer of the recording from the interview to me was immediate and beyond reproach. My typing of the transcript was also immediate and done according to proper procedure, meaning the transcript that I emailed to Shailagh will unquestionably have Joe Biden’s exact words.

So, Evan, your article memorializes Joe Biden intentionally lying about his relationship with Vladimir Putin. Good job on that! I’m sure you’re due for a big New Yorker pat on the head.

Or maybe not.

But beyond the New Yorker quote, there’s more evidence not only that Joe has been lying about his confrontation with Putin, but that he and his PR goons have been carefully covering for it. And where is this evidence? In Joe’s own words, which he published in his 2017 memoir Promise me, Dad.

Here are two photos of his version of that meeting from that book. Note how he carefully avoids stating where this Putin meeting occurred. Inveterate liars like Joe Biden are experts at supplying small, concrete truths within the broader lie. The small truth is that Finnegan Biden, Hunter’s daughter, was on the trip and did wait in Putin’s office. Nice touch, Joe, but wouldn’t that also make her a witness who could testify under oath about what she recalls about your comments or lack thereof to Vladimir Putin to, say, a Republican-led House committee’s investigation of your many impeachable offenses?

Joe’s Secretary of State Tony Blinken was also there, so he could be a witness too. Under oath, before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, which he testifies before regularly. I guarantee there would be some interesting sound bites if he was asked his recollection of Joe’s 2011 office tour with Putin.

Here’s Joe’s recollection of Finnegan waiting in Putin’s office. Note how Joe avoids discussing where the meeting took place and recall that this was published three years after Joe lied to Osnos about meeting Putin in the Kremlin. So to cover up that overlooked lie, Biden’s PR goons, whom I believe would have reviewed Osnos’s article, simply eliminated the critical detail of the  meeting site. I’m sure if any White House correspondent asked Jen Psaki to provide details about the discrepancy between Joe’s purported comments to Putin in the New Yorker article and his version in Promise me, Dad, she would have to circle back.

For another insight into Joe’s and Team Biden’s coverup, compare his 2017 account of his meeting with Putin (photo below) with the 2011 account that appears in the caption of the photo introducing this post. In 2011 Joe was smiles and cooperation versus in 2017 when he was shrewd and masterful against a tough opponent who was “ice-cold calm” in a meeting that was “long and contentious.”

Recall the 2011-2012 era of Obama/Biden bragging about their masterful “reset” of the U.S.-Russian relationship, even to the point of championing Russia’s accession to the World Trade Organization. And then read the above passage in Promise me, Dad of Joe setting the record straight on himself. It’s clear that the Obama/Biden Russian “reset” was an administration-wide lie, and Joe’s Putin put-down was the lie within that lie.

Putin has known this for 11 years. No wonder Joe and Tony Blinken’s “diplomacy” with him over his troop buildups along the Ukrainian border is destined for the dustbin of history.

One more discrepancy between Joe’s 2017 coverup version and actual events from 2011 is the timing of the office tour. And this one is glaring evidence that Joe has always lied about looking into Putin’s soul because it’s obviously intentional.

In Promise me, Dad, Joe states Putin invited him into his office AFTER their meeting. But that’s BS. And I say that because I was there. My recollection is we arrived at the Russian White House, rode elevators up to Putin’s office suite, and stood by for about 20 minutes in a temporary staff hold, while Joe and the principals’ entourage were welcomed by Putin. This is when I believe the actual office visit took place.

It would make sense that Finnegan would hang back in that office while Joe and Putin and their entourages met over the conference table in the adjacent room. Here’s a screenshot of the White House photo from that “long and contentious” meeting that I used for a Substack. Here’s the link —

I have over a dozen years of experience witnessing world leader visits both in our White House and palaces and parliaments around the world. It’s standard protocol for such meetings to start with a brief non-public greeting event, to include introductions of the delegations, and then get down to business in the actual meeting. Usually there’s a quick photo spray with comments by both leaders for the press pool, sometimes at the beginning of the meeting, sometimes at the conclusion. On that day the Russians set the pool spray and comments for the top of the meeting, probably because they knew it would be most effective to their overall outcome if they embarrassed Joe at the start.

In my memoir Joe Biden Unauthorized and the 2020 Crackup of the Democratic Party I titled the chapter Bitch Slapped in Moscow, because contrary to what the mainstream media reported, that’s what I saw.  I was standing about six feet directly behind Putin. So I had a clear view of Joe as Putin cut him off in the midst of his comments. It was by far the most brutal treatment of one world leader by another I’ve ever seen.

That’s why Joe’s assertion in his book about seeing Putin’s office at the conclusion of the meeting, other than buttressing his lie about confronting Putin, makes no sense. Why would Putin — after a “long and contentious meeting,”  Joe’s words — invite Joe back for a private get-together to his show off his office? It’s illogical. Joe obviously published a lie to cover a lie. Putin’s office tour took place BEFORE the conference meeting, which was the perfect set-up for his long planned, public humiliation of Barack Obama’s blustery vice president.

I recall after Putin embarrassed Joe, we in the travel pool went to a workroom down the hall to file stories and in my case type the transcript. White House staffers were furious with how Putin treated Joe, and there was a back and forth over how to reflect what happened in the transcript, but it was published on Obama’s WhiteHouse.gov website showing Joe cut off mid-sentence. Knowing that the truth is in the transcript, I reprinted in its entirety in my book.

An important point for Evan Osnos and morons at the New Yorker to understand, is that in the header of that transcript I have the location as The White House,  Moscow, Russia. So all Osnos or a New Yorker editor had to do to double-check Joe’s AF2 lie was read the transcript. The truth was there. But they never did. They printed a lie and should explain to their readers why.

Joe’s PR staffers also have some ‘splaining to do. They would have known the actual meeting site and that it was stated clearly in the transcript header and may have understood that it contradicted Joe’s lie, so they apparently held that information back to  prevent Evan from seeing it. And understand, Evan’s AF2 interview with Joe occurred in April 2014, while the article wasn’t published until July 2014. Joe Biden’s PR team had at least two months to alert Evan to the discrepancy in Joe’s recollection. But they didn’t.

How’s that sit with you, Evan?

Joe is lying to say he ever confronted Putin in his office about having no soul. He said no such thing to Putin. But he did roll out the first iteration of it the very next day, probably to ease the sting of his humiliation, when he spoke to a very anti-Putin audience of liberal opposition leaders in Moscow.

Here’s an updated photo of that meeting that I have only now discovered. This photo replaces the previous one which was published on the Obama White House.gov website with a confusing caption. Note the caption on this photo clarifies the group and the site as the Ambassadors Residence. That would put Ambassador Mike McFaul as the host of the event which spawned Joe Biden’s lie about Vladimir Putin.

Neither I nor American press were allowed in that meeting, so Joe’s fantasy Putin put-down was first reported publicly in Russia by the Moscow Times as an observation by a participant of that meeting — https://www.themoscowtimes.com/2011/03/10/biden-opposes-3rd-putin-term-a5538

But then Joe passed it on to Osnos as he did, and that inaccuracy seeped into the broader media, which is where I saw it as I was researching another aspect of Joe and Putin’s past. Below is a screenshot of the Newsweek story that alerted me to the lie.

And it turns out Vladimir Putin has the final say on Joe’s cowardly lie. As recently as June 2021, during their Geneva “summit,” Putin stated publicly he has no memory of Joe’s comment about looking into his soul. As reported in Newsweek, “But when asked this week by NBC News about the intense meeting with Biden, Putin said he did not recall it.” A screenshot of that story reveals Joe’s lie in bold print with the blazing headline that puts the meeting erroneously in the Kremlin. Newsweek got it wrong because they made the mistake of trusting Evan Osnos’s reporting.

Silly Newsweek.

But at least they got Putin right. Here’s Newsweek’s story quoting NBC’s interview: “‘I don’t remember this particular part of our conversation, to be honest with you, but he probably has a good memory,’ Putin replied with a smirk.”

Here’s the link to that story — https://www.newsweek.com/joe-biden-told-putin-he-had-no-soul-during-odd-kremlin-visit-2011-1600908

Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it, and we’re about to repeat it. Putin has been winning at world leader one-upmanship with Biden since 2011. He now faces no intelligent opposition from him as he moves to control Ukraine and its vital natural gas fields and pipelines. Joe’s only recourse is to talk tough. But now based on evidence, the lie at the heart of his bluster undermines every move he makes.

Given Joe’s amateurish handling of the Russian troop buildup on the Ukraine border, it’s well past time for him to admit that self-aggrandizing 11-year-old lie has not only torpedoed his credibility with the Russian strongman, but it has undermined U.S.-Russian relations to the point of catastrophe.

Hopefully before it’s too late, the Beltway military-industrial complex will come to understand they’re ramping up public support to commit American troops and materiel into a conflict that has its genesis in a cowardly Joe Biden lie.

Timeline of Joe and Vlad:
