MSNBC White House reporter Mike Memoli has known the truth about Joe Biden’s views on Crimea for a long time.

In November 2014, when Mike was seated one row behind me on Air Force Two, he had an off-the-record conversation with then Vice President Biden in which he asked if Putin would ever leave Crimea.

Joe Biden said no.

But Mike has never reported it — in any way, shape, or form.

And this was a significant statement from the American Vice President who was Obama’s point man on Ukraine. This was a huge controversy, a big story for a journalist. Biden was personally disputing that Putin/Russia would ever leave Crimea, which was what Obama and his moron foreign policy team insisted had to happen.

Now that those same morons are again directing U.S. foreign policy, cataclysmic war has broken out. Disgusting.

On a Joe Biden nugget of truth that would have better informed Russian-Ukrainian relations for the past eight years and possibly moved them past the point of war, mum’s the word from Mike.

That shouldn’t be a surprise. Mike’s nickname is “the Biden Whisperer.” And he’s risen in stature from being a nondescript “scribbler” for Tribune Publishing to on-air “talent” at MSNBC mostly because he’s the guy who asks Joe Biden what flavor ice cream he’s eating.

But now with Crimea and the Donbas and Kiev being blown to bits; with Ukrainians and Russians dying in ever growing numbers in a shooting war; all while Joe Biden buys Russian oil while waggling his finger at Putin, it’s time for Mike Memoli to figure out a way to confirm what I know is an unreported fact: Mike heard Joe Biden state unequivocally that Putin would never leave Crimea.

In other words, Joe Biden as far back as 2014 saw Crimea as, yes, part of Putin’s Russia. And isn’t that what all this horrific killing is about?

So if Joe Biden privately recognizes Crimea as a Putin holding, why doesn’t he come out and recognize it publicly?

Why, indeed.

I heard him say it. I watched him say it. And to this day, I remember his answer verbatim because it directly contradicted the Obama doctrine that Russia had to restore Ukraine’s territorial integrity.

In other words, Obama wanted Putin to abandon his annexation of Crimea and his support for separatists in the Donbas as a precondition to negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. And all the while that was being publicly declared by Obama and his idiot interlocutors, I knew it was a fake expectation because Joe said so. Right out of his mouth.

And that territorial integrity that Joe has said will never happen is basically what Ukraine is demanding now. Plus stop all the killing.

But the bloodshed is only getting worse, isn’t it?

I discussed this 2104 Air Force Two exchange briefly last week in my Substack on Myroslava Gongadze, from whom I have yet to learn whether she was present for this conversation or not. My recollection is the conversation went like this, though I am paraphrasing Mike’s initial question:

MIKE MEMOLI: Will Putin ever leave Crimea?

JOE BIDEN: This is off the record, right?

MIKE MEMOLI: Yes.

JOE BIDEN: No.

And with that, Joe abruptly ended the conversation and walked to the front of the plane. I know from past experience when Joe Biden utters a simple answer to a tough question and then leaves the conversation, it means he’s telling the truth. And that’s just what he did.

Now to be fair to Mike, he had agreed with Joe Biden’s communications staffers that if Joe came to the back of the plane, everything he said was off the record. That’s why Joe challenged Mike to uphold that agreement. And Mike’s affirmative answer confirmed to Joe his Obama-contradicting answer would never be repeated, so he figured, what the heck, I’ll tell the truth.

Rare for Joe to tell the truth, and another reason why it stuck in my memory.

I recall Bloomberg White House correspondent Justin Sink was also on that trip and being present for that conversation, though he’d have to confirm that. I’ve reached out to Justin in the past to confirm other recollections I’ve had of his interactions with Biden, but I’ve never heard back from him. Not surprised. Bloomberg bills itself as the voice of “global Wall Street,” so they’re as biased and arrogant as MSNBC.

Being under the same agreement, Justin has never reported it either.

Voice of America journalist Myroslava Gongadze, whom I profiled last week, was on the trip, as well.  I wrote that Substack as an invitation for her to confirm if she dropped off in Kyiv, because that would help me pin down the timing of exactly when this off-the-record conversation took place. I have a vague recollection of her staying behind in Ukraine to visit friends and family in her homeland. I remain optimistic I will hear from her.

If she wasn’t there for that conversation that would mean Joe came to the back of the plane on the flight from Kyiv to Istanbul, which is how I think it happened. I’ll explain that in greater detail on my next Substack.

And let me be clear, since the agreement between the Biden folks and the press was that anything Joe says on Air Force Two is off the record, there’s no transcript. I didn’t record it, didn’t type it. But I witnessed it, and I will swear under oath to the veracity of this account.

So yes, “journalists.” They were. I wasn’t. And since I wasn’t, I am not bound by any agreement to keep Joe’s conversation off the record. That’s why you’re hearing about it from me, not them.

Added proof that questions on Joe’s opinion on the future of Crimea was bouncing around in the back of Air Force Two in November 2014 is here in an L.A. Times photo I found on the Internet. I think Mike Memoli is the non-bylined photographer, though I would need him to get back to me and confirm that. Not holding my breath on that.

The reason I think he took the photo is he was there, plus L.A. Times is a property of Tribune Publishing, his employer at the time. Note The ObamaBiden public lie right there in the caption: “Biden tells Russia U.S. will never accept Crimea.” It would have been Mike who wrote that. And I think he asked an astute albeit off-the-record question to follow that up.

Yet another Joe Biden lie to Russia to add to the pile I’ve previously called out. Weird that it’s a bread crumb of truth beneath it. No wonder Putin doesn’t respect him.

So, Myroslava, Justin, Mike, speaking of respect, here’s your chance to be heroes. Publish the truth about Joe Biden’s eight-year-old  admission that Putin will never leave Crimea. You can do it. I’ve gone public with it. You can report on my report and not break your agreement. It might not be viewed favorably by your friends in the Biden White House and your colleagues in the biased media, but you could do it.

Such a story in Bloomberg, MSNBC, or Voice of America would definitely alter the trajectory of the conflict. It might force Joe Biden into a more realistic approach to this horrific conflict. It might save many, many lives.

Then again, it might also alter the trajectory of your precious career. So I’m not holding my breath on any of you following my suggestion. Sadly, my expectation is you will continue covering for Joe Biden’s betrayal of Ukraine.

As. It. Is. Destroyed.

But hey, comfort yourselves that you’re in good company with the rest of corporate media.

Except for you, Myroslava. I know Putin’s devastation of your Ukraine is beyond agony. But Joe Biden has hand in it it too. You know that. You know Joe Biden has betrayed you and your country.

It’s beyond time to do something about it. Call me.
